Catching you up to our time zone

During our layover in Toronto we found some food and ate a good lunch. We then had some time to kill so we walked around, played cards and drew some pictures. I unfortunately had to deal with some work "fires" and had to make some calls but I have now passed it all on to my wonderful colleagues.

Our flight to London was pretty straight forward. We watched a movie, ate some pretty decent food and tried to sleep.

Seven hours later we arrived to London Heathrow. As our next plane left from the London Stansted airport we had to go through customs, grab our bags, find the Central bus station and catch a bus to the next airport. We made it to the bus. When we got onto the bus the bus driver was going over the "rules" and said we were not allowed to talk but singing was fine. He asked Hannah if she could sing and I said she sings very well and he offered the bus microphone so she could sing to the bus. We did not take him up but instead gave a tired smile, looked around a bit and went to sleep. Arriving at Stansted airport we made our way through Ryanair's long lines. When we arrived at our gate and we were about to board they informed us that our flight was delayed for about 20 minutes due to the water systems. So Hannah and I sat down and played some farkel and smiled at children who spoke with British accents.

The Ryanair flight to Oslo was quick and easy. In Oslo we got some food, found our gate (for our next and last flight) and started this blog. On the flight from Oslo to Stavanger it appeared that everyone was laughing but being that they all spoke Norwegian we have no idea what was so funny. One group in particular was quiet for only about five minutes before the outbreak of laughing come on. It lasted the whole flight and increased as we were landing. I have never seen a grown man giggle and laugh so hard. It was a bit of a surreal experience to have laughter surrounding you, and you have no idea why they are laughing, as your plane is landing.

Arriving in Stavanger we caught a taxi to the Solborg Folkehogskole where we will be staying in their dorms during our stay. The above post speaks about our evening, luckily Hannah was able to sleep through my panic of not having my wallet. At midnight I went to sleep and slept very well.

Today Ava arrives and we will be joining up with the Houston/Galveston - Stavanger Sister City Group. We shall see what comes in the next few days!

We will attempt to post some pictures soon.
